@xxxxdarksidexxxx yeah our gas is cheaper but we don’t nearly get the same social benefits other 1st world countries get. so that cheap gas isn’t cheap when we have to pay ten times more for healthcare, education, etc etc AND THEN go get gas on top of it. our gas isn’t really taxed, comparatively speaking, but we aren’t therefore afforded the benefits of government like Europe and Japan, etc. so it’s relative cost, you can’t just compare prices as an absolute, plus prices skyrocketed on us
